Crashing Into Me

You stool not just me
but my heart and spirt.

I broke , you spoke.
Beating what was leftover of me until there were only ashes.

Yet you keep leading me to the cliff
making me think,
you will catch me if I fall.

When we get there
I am alone ,
listening to your whispers
of how I wronged you.

I am left drifting on the waves,
no lifeboat in sight.
I tumble and roll,
your light I never see
because you are the waves
crashing into me.

My shores are always waiting
but always empty.
You keep crashing into me.

With every breath I take
it is perfumed by your sent.
I gasp, I quake, I wait
yet no light do I see,
for you are the waves crashing
into me.
