Sadness Is A Gray Cloud

And suddenly there came
a movement in the corner of the room.
A shadow looms over my bed,
I with a weary feeling of dread.
I felt like I should be fleeting,
but slowly the shadow
began breathing,
waking my senses to the night.

I was caught inside of its web,
like a soft gray cloud,
hanging from its cotton bed.

Sadness creped up and sat above my head.
