A Shadow

I am a shadow,
I am always at your feet
following your every move.

A spear of light beams from my core.
I am a soul without a bag,
without a casing,
or clothing of skin.

I am without bone and rine
no mass,
no base,
no skin to call my own.

Nothing but a shadow I am,
like smoke,
like ash,
like dust I am.

I was forgotten over time,
I became dust in the wind
blowing through the hourglass of life.

I’m nothing but a shadow
a wisp of smoke,
a luminous cloud black and heavy.

A shadow that’s what I am.
